Pastor Wright, terroristen eks-Ayers… Det er grunn til å sette spørsmålstegn ved Obamas vurderingsevne. Les Michael Barones artikkel i US News
Fra artikkelen:
-He was willing to use Ayers and ally with him despite his terrorist past and lack of repentance. An unrepentant terrorist, who bragged of bombing the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon, was a fit associate. Ayers evidently helped Obama gain insider status in Chicago civic life and politics—how much, we can’t be sure unless the Richard J. Daley Library opens the CAC archive. But most American politicians would not have chosen to associate with a man with Ayers’s past or of Ayers’s beliefs. It’s something voters might reasonably want to take into account.

Obama, the pompous windbag…
National Review har en fremragende quiz om Obamas floskler; Pop quiz, hot shot. Pick out the "We Are The World" lyrics vs. Obama speech lines.
‘There comes a time when we heed a certain call.’ – There was not a ton to object to, and indeed a lot to like, in Obama’s speech in Berlin. Although I think I preferred it the first time I heard it, when it was sung by all those celebrities and rock stars back in the mid-80s…

-When Gore won the popular vote in the 2000 election by half a percentage point, but lost the Electoral College — or, for short, "the constitutionally prescribed method for choosing presidents" — anyone who denied the sacred importance of the popular vote was either an idiot or a dangerous partisan.
-But now Hillary has won the popular vote in a Democratic primary, while Obambi has won under the rules. In a spectacular turnabout, media commentators are heaping sarcasm on our plucky Hillary for imagining the "popular vote" has any relevance whatsoever.
-It’s the exact same situation as in 2000, with Hillary in the position of Gore and Obama in the position of Bush. The only difference is: Hillary has a much stronger argument than Gore ever did (and Hillary’s more of a man than Gore ever was).
